This study, the need for which was indentified in the MPO´s 2004 Mobility Management System report, recommended safety and operational improvements for 15 intersections. The locations are dispersed throughout the region: Beverly, Boston, Braintree, Holliston, Lexington, Littleton, Marlborough, Medfield, Peabody, Quincy, Randolph, Revere, Stoneham, Wayland, and Weymouth. This technical memorandum documenting the study presents the analysis methods and, for each intersection, the safety and operational concerns and the analysis results. The recommended improvements pertain to bicycles, driveways, lanes, lighting, parking, pedestrians, roundabouts, signage/markings, signals, and traffic calming.
