Transportation is a critical need for the region’s elderly residents, particularly those who no longer drive. Most councils on aging, elder-affairs offices, and regional transit authorities, and many private nonprofit agencies offer transportation services. To increase public awareness of these services, the MPO cataloged the transportation services that are available for elders in each of the MPO region’s 97 communities.
