Public Involvement ⇒ Meeting Schedule

To help the MBTA identify service-related capital investment needs and priorities, public meetings were held in various service corridors. At these meetings, customers were asked to describe the mobility issues they face when using the MBTA. Based on the mobility gaps and challenges raised at the workshops, the MBTA is developing mobility “problem statements” and will identify the mix of project proposals–including system preservation, enhancement, and expansion projects–that best addresses the mobility needs of the region.

Each meeting focused on one or two specific service corridors and, at each meeting, the MBTA presented information about the transportation services, commuting patterns, demographics, and infrastructure needs of those corridors. The participants were then divided into small groups for a discussion, led by MBTA officials, of mobility needs and challenges.
