Maps – Park-and-Ride Lots
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority operate park-and-ride lots throughout the commonwealth. Many of these lots are conveniently located along major highways; all-day parking is often free. Many suburban MBTA rapid transit and commuter rail stations offer inexpensive parking facilities. Information on those lots can be accessed from the MBTA website. Parking overnight at MassDOT park-and-ride lots on state property is not prohibited, but it is at your own risk. If you have any safety concerns, it is recommended that you contact the local police department. Parking at facilities leased by MassDOT (e.g., the Sturbridge lot and the Framingham lot on Flutie Pass) are subject to a legal agreement with the land owner; please contact paul.nelson@state.ma.us for more information. |
