OVERVIEW • WALKABLE COMMUNITIES • REPORTS • DATABASE The MPO has been conducting and coordinating bicycle and pedestrian counts since 1975. The participation of volunteers has been invaluable in this work. Some of these counts are on-road tallies of bicycles; others are on trails and differentiate between different types of users: bicyclists, walkers, wheelchair users, joggers, people using strollers, skaters, and skiers.
