MPO Membership – MPO Committees
OVERVIEW • MPO MEMBERSHIP • MPO ELECTION PROCESS • MPO REGION MAP NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY Overview • MPO Committees Committees of the Metropolitan Planning OrganizationThe MPO has established four committees. Their respective responsibilities are stated below. Committee membership is voluntary and self-selected. Membership on the committees changes from time to time. Any MPO member may attend and participate at any committee meeting, but only committee members may vote. The MPO may set up new committees, should a need arise. Administration and FinanceResponsibilities – To review and make recommendations to the MPO on the staff operating budget, legan matters, and other administrative functions. Clean Air and MobilityResponsibilities – To oversee the MPO’s Suburban Mobility and Transportation Demand Management programs, which involves developing criteria, conducting outreach, reviewing grant applications, and making recommendations to the MPO about awards of funding. TIP CriteriaResponsibilities – Develops and reviews criteria for evaluating projects proposed for programming in the Transportation Improvement Program, program activities and schedule; recommends concurrence to the MPO. Unified Planning Work ProgramResponsibilities – Develops recommendations on listings of MPO funded projects and associated budgets for the upcoming federal fiscal year for MPO approval; monitors quarterly expenditures and progress of fiscal year program. |
